Father Daughter Conference 2008

Three weeks from today my two oldest daughters and I will be on our way to Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, GA to attend Vision Forum's Father Daughter Conference. This is the first time we've attended a father daughter conference, though we've been to a couple of Vision Forum events. I can attest after attending the Entrepreneurial Bootcamp and the Jamestown Quadricentennial that everything Vision Forum does, they do with excellence. My daughters and I are very excited about this time we will have together. Brittney is nearing completion on a tea gown that she will wear to high tea on Saturday afternoon. Praise God for Vision Forum and for all the fathers and daughters that will be traveling to Georgia in order to strengthen father daughter relationships which, in most cases, are already very strong to begin with. Truly children are a heritage of the Lord. I absolutely love being a father.

My two oldest girls are 14 and 10. As with the rest of my children, Brittney and Brianna are precious to me. There's nothing quite as satisfying as watching your children grow up and turn into godly ladies (and men). I love to watch what God is doing in their lives, and I love to anticipate what their futures hold.

Pray for safe travel for everyone involved. Personally, we will be driving from Guthrie, OK to Memphis, TN, staying one night, then making the trek from Memphis to Pine Mountain the next day.

Pray that God would knit the hearts of fathers and daughters together in this special time.

Pray for the speakers that God would give them the right words to say that will minister to this group of fathers and their young ladies.
